6th Annual Monster Mash Trunk or Treat Event Returns this October and a New Location at The Crossing at Windmill
Family-friendly fun in store with Trick or Treat, Pumpkin Racing and more!
LAS VEGAS – Aug. 19, 2019 – Calling all ghosts, goblins and ghouls! Clark County Parks & Recreation and LVMPD’s Enterprise Area Command treat the community with the 6th Annual Monster Mash Trunk or Treat on Thursday, October 24 5-9 p.m. at a brand new location – The Crossing (7950 W Windmill Lane Las Vegas). Event admission is free. This family-friendly event will be sure to get the whole family in the Halloween spirit with pumpkin racing, trick-or-treating, boo-tastic games, and monster mashing on the dance floor.
Trunk-or-treating activities will be offering free and safe trick-or-treating for all participants from 5-9 p.m. Stroll trunk to trunk, booth to booth and visit more than 50 various community organizations and businesses for a free sweet treat and to learn more about their amazing services and products. Games, activities and bounce houses will be available on site for a nominal fee.
Pumpkin Derby Racing returns for 2019 with limited space available. Registration is available online atwww.eventbrite.com. The cost to enter a pumpkin racer is $5 per racer, or you can purchase your pumpkin and wheel kit on site and get one free race registration per purchase. Pumpkins are available on-site for purchase for only $2, or free with the purchase of a wheel kit.
Pumpkin Racers competing for the Best Decoration and Design category will be displayed prior to the race from 5-7 p.m. and judged based design, detail, creativity, and originality. Pumpkin Derby entries must be made from a pumpkin or fall gourd. Racers are encouraged to give their Pumpkin Racers creative names so adoring fans can cheer from the sidelines. Clark County Safekey will provide free Arts and Crafts to decorate pumpkins on site at no additional charge.

ABOUT LAS VEGAS METROPOLITAN POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department was formed in July, 1973 by an act of the state legislature. It was created by merging the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and the Las Vegas Police Department.
